About this wine

Delicate and elegant, this wine has been made to express the best of the season and the vineyards that is was made from. Fresh, crisp acidity combine with fruit sweetness and slight grapefruit pith characters to make a wine of interest and appeal.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale green/white gold.

Nose: Citrus blossum, mandarin and slight honey notes.

Palate: Smooth texture balanced with a fine acidity and slight grapefruit phenolics.

Serve: Slightly chilled (and with a second bottle!)

Food Match: Tandoori chicken tenderloins, toasted cashews, micro greens & lemon aioli on toasted ciabatta.

Viticulture: All the fruit for this wine was selected from our Waipara Vineyards, 50% from Glasnevin Vineyard and 50% from The Mound Vineyard.

Vintage: Early rains gave way to a growing season with moderate temperatures and plenty of sun. The Spring Equinox marks the start of every season with the awakening of the vines at budburst, leading through to the inescapable conclusion at the Autumn Equinox when the vine once again shuts down for the winter.

Maturation: This wine will evolve over the next 10 years, moving from the delicate fruit flavours and aromas to more complex characters of kero, wax and nuts.
